Google acquisition of Dialogflow and its team provided tools to help developers build conversational bots.  The tools allowed teaching robots to generate contextual clues to resolve ambiguities in speech.  The tools handled things like speech recognition, intent recognition, and context management, and allowed developers to provide domain-specific knowledge that would be unique to bot’s needs.  The patent portfolio developed by IP Jurists PC included 46 US and international applications and provided protection for many aspects of these tools, including speech recognition and natural language understanding as well as voice-command capabilities integrated into user interfaces.  The patented technology also included a conversational user interface platform that helped Google to continue building great natural-language interfaces.  The acquired technology became part of Google Assistant.
